I must be turning to a softy?

Last week our A/C went out.We called the Heating & Air guy. Well the compressor was froze up. He said to fix it was allot more money than a new one.So O.K. me wanting not to spend the money .You know it will be fall soon. What maybe a month till cooler weather. I told Bro.Stubby we can wait this out till next spring.
As a kid we didn't have A/C. We lived in this big house and with a fan it stayed cool.We didn't always have A/C when our kids were home either. And we managed just fine. So I thought we can do this.
Well in Indiana we have high humidity. And August is the hottest month of the year and the first of September can be hot also.I don't know what I was thinking!
The first day & night was not so bad.The second night the humidity went up.
So need less to say. We now have a new A/C unit.
So that is why I must be an old softy now.

I need to edit this: We are Thankful to GOD for A/C
When the guy was setting up the new unit it was 97 in the house.

Me and Sondra were talking about when we used to do without A/C too and it was no big deal and now when we don't have it we have a really hard time. We are so spoiled!!!

Air conditioning is great. However, we have seen what it is like to not have it. Even though it is miserable without it, you do get used to it. Neither one of our cars have A/C and for a while, several years ago, neither did one of our homes. We are definately a spoiled people. HEHE :)

This is my first house with a heat pump and A/C through the house! What a blessing. We had crazy hot weather this summer, especially for Oregon. Most of the time it's cool here so you don't need it, but when it's hot it's sure nice (especially when cooking all those meals for SKY CAMP!) Of course HOT to us is in the mid 80's. (We're such babies :P)

Well I am glad to hear that you were able to get it fixed. I find it hard to go with out A/C. Especially with Noah and his ezcema. So I am very thankful for it. And yes we are spoiled!!!

You're not a softy...just not used to it. I don't run the a/c in my car at all...it gets to cold...and I'm always covering up at home because mom keeps it cool in the house.

I think that our "hot" is just getting "hotter"! We didn't have air conditioning in the farm house, and I don't remember it getting so hot we couldn't stand it. But last summer our air was only "half-working" and we were sophocating! I'm getting the softy thing too! lol! Honestly...are there any breezes anymore?
