I thought I would tell you how we came to live in our home.We had rented when we first married and every time the land lord would tell us he had rented the house to his kids.So we would rent another place. The same think would happen again & again
The last house we rented I fell in love with. It had a big front room to entertain the brothern in.But low & be hold he sold it to his daughter.
We received a prophecy that the Lord would provide us a home.So I thought great no more worries. So we started looking for us a home. The time was getting close to us having to get out.We found this house. I did not like it as well as the last house. But we needed a house. So Jim took it.I thought now Lord I know this is not the home you are giving us.Then I really started doubting the prophecy after a few years of us still in this house.
You see I didn't think it was big enough to entertain the brothern as the last house was.And finally I thought O.K. Lord I'll be satisfied with it till you give us our home.I didn't want to seem ungrateful.Because I know the Lord will take care of us.
Well Sondra meet Jackie & her brother. Now I tell you I fell in love with these two kids. I took them as my own.Well Jackie was around for a couple years before she came to church with us.
Now after she came in the church I still did not see.Till one time she was testifying how the Lord put us in her life. And I just started crying .Now I felt like the man with the boat. Saying the Lord will help me.
So I know now the Lord gave us our home.
I love my little Home very much

What a sweet testimony! We had those same things happen to us about renting and then having to move. Let me tell you how I have cried my eyes out about a house I fell in love with and then had to move out of because either the owners died and the house went up for sale and we could in no wise buy it or because some other random thing like us moving to ORegon! We were living in the house of my dreams here in OR, it was a sweet Victorian house and it had a TOWER no less! The kids were all little and we needed lots of room and boy did this house have it. We got to live there one year...one year and then we had to move on. When we had to move The Dad and I said we wished we could have taken that house and put it in the country and we would be so happy. After living in ANOTHER house for just one year, the Lord brought us to our dream place. It was an old Victorian house in the country and we got to live there for 5 years, on 70 acres. It was hard work and the house had many problems...(see Sis. Trina's blog for my comment!)but it was perfect in so many ways and it was like the Lord heard our exact words about bringing the house to the country. He is so sweet to us. We thought we would never be able to buy a house and then finally, 8 years ago, we were able to buy this house we live in and boy what a testimony that is! I love the Lord with all my heart, He has taken such good care of me all these years...and it sounds like He has taken care of you too!
That was a beautiful testimony. I think we have all been the man with the boat from time to time. *big smile*
I am glad that the Lord put you where you are because there is no telling where I would be now if it wasn't for you all. You helped me come to know the Savior and you introduced me to my husband and to almost everyone that I call my family now. I am thankful that you like you house now and that you were a good wife and went where your husband decided for you all to go.
That's awesome! Everything happens for a reason, if we jsut let God do what is best :) I enjoyed your testimony :)
What a beautiful testimony, the Lord sure knows what is best for his people.
Thats a precious testimony! Thank you for sharing :)
