It is thur here that I have meet a few sisters, some never face to face .
But it as been wonderful getting to meet you any way.

Everyone has their own conversion story. I look back and am still amazed how GOD seems to work things out against the odds. I was 20 yrs old with no particular beliefs at all. I was in the navy aboard an aircraft carrier wich was off the coast of Viet nam. I worked in the boiler room where the average tempurture was 130 degrees. I had been working 4 days without sleep. I was near the edge & believed I was near death. I snuck off to a tool room & prayed. Last straw Lord please either save my life or take it. Less than an hour later I snapped. I came very close to taking another man's life. GOD not only prevented that but seen to it that I was sent back to the states. It was almost 3 yrs. before I was introduced to the church. GOD was someone I hardly knew of let alone believed in. Now I am so thankful that he reached across that gulf between him & I. I now reach for GOD now with a lively hope but I reached for him then with none. Don't give up when things seem impossible. It appears it is then when he does his best work. Thank you Lord! From bro. What is pone bread

I hope everyone is doing great. We have a great life so far.God has blessed us so much.Neither Jim or I have been very sick this winter. Winter is not good on my lungs.

Now some had never heard of pone bread before .Pone bread can be corn or flour.The corn bread pone is, sometimes called johnny bread, cooked in a iron skillet in the oven.The biscuit pone is one large biscuit cooked in iron skillet in the oven.I thing pone bread maybe a southern word.lol

Now the reason we thought that that was a poor meal, it was made for supper. All I had was flour ,lard & water to eat in the house at the time.Now don't get us wrong we thank God we had that much.The kids made us think a little more.

So sometimes when you think things are bad they may not be as bad as you think!

Sondra, Jackie, Johnny & girls are now on their trip.Taking a lot of pictures for us.So they will be posting them when they get back.

Our special Christmas

Our Christmas
I want to tell you a little more of that Christmas.We had just moved into our home the August before.So we had used all our savings as a down payment.You know this is the house I didn't like.Well anyway.Jim had lost his job(because he was not able to do the job).I was only making $5.oo an hour.We had always bought a real tree. We didn't have one .But up in the attic the girls Sondra & Jackie( Jackie was not in the faith at that time)found an old tree so they used that to put up.
Just at the time they had finished putting up the tree,there was a knock at the door. Yes,it was brethren with our wonderful Christmas.Now these brethren were not from our assembly.Sis Jackie knew this. She later told me that this made a impact on her.To see the love they had for us .Not even really knowing us.
So this Christmas was a very special Christmas.Not just the love of our brethren( which is special)it was also to show Jackie the love also.
God does work in different ways .Sometimes we humans do not understand.I have learned not to be so down on life's little problems.God will use these for our good.

I can not believe it has bee a month since I posted any thing.Sorry !!! I have been busy and I have been playing on Face Book.I tell You that Farm Town is addictive.LOL
We did enjoy our self in KY for the Christmas in July.It was a good trip.Wonderful visits with Family & brothern.We have been blessed with NO sickness for me and Jim.But do remember Sondra she has had a few things going on.She is my baby. No how old they get, mommas get worried some.
I am so glad Sis Charlotte S.is on blogger.She has been a God send for our family.Get to know her .
I am so thankful for all mercies on all of my brothern. We have been rejoicing with all of you for the new one.

Our Hummingbird

Last summer I showed you pictures of our birds .So this year I will show you our newest addition.The Hummingbird.It is so awesome to watch them.
This is the first year we have had them.Jim & I love to sit and watch the birds .I am thankful to God for his nature.

I am thankful to our most high GOD. That we may serve him in this country so far.
We have had a wonderful week -end. Saturday we went fishing with some of our brethren.
We have not been fishing for at least 2 years or more.Well Jim went fishing,I just enjoyed the visiting with everyone.It was just perfect weather.
Then today we went to a cook out with Sis Jackie's family.They do stand in need of your prayers at this time.The Lord willing we may be able to show our light to them a long with Bro Johnny & Sis Jackie.

Thanking God

I can not believe it had so long sense I posted.
Not alot going on I guess.
But a least it has been peaceful.God has truly blessed us.We have had some sickness, Not life threatening tho.
The weather has been wonderful.
I have 2 tomato plants this year.Already tomatoes on them.I love fried green tomato & red ones too.
My children & Grandchildren are all doing good.
So there is not much more I could ask for.
So I am just checking in & thanking God for his blessings

God's Mercies

Our Father has been so mercifully to us. Sunday afternoon Sondra & I were taking a nap. Jim was dosing in his chair.Sondra thought she heard Jim call her .She went out and asked he said " No, do you smell some think funny" she said "No" .She went back to bed.He started looking over the house and couldn't find any thing wrong.So he lays back in his chair again. He looks Thur the slats in the furnace door, he sees a glow. He opens it up. Sure enough there was a fire in the furnace.So he gets his tools to open it up. Gets Sondra up and tells her there is a fire and get me up.As soon as he shuts the fan off the fire goes out.That was bad enough but my oxygen tanks are on the out side of the furnace room.
God does take care of us so many times.

Prayer Needed

My dear brothern I would ask you to pray for my cousin Tammy .She has Acute Leukemia the type is called AML. I don't know much about it.I do know that it is deadly.She is 44 years old with 3 children & 1 grandson .Her youngest is still at home,he is 17.
She has ask for prayer.She is not in the faith .Her husband & her do believe in pray.
The first round of chemo did not work.She is in her second round.Her hair as started to thin out .This does bother her.She has not lost alot of weight yet.Thank God.
I know I can count on you.And God will answer prayers.

I had Sis. Jackie 's Girls over at the house. JoHanah had never had a twinkie.So Nana had o give her one.You need to know JoHanah does not like having her hands dirty nor her face.So this was a big surprise for every one she loved them.We didn't even have to use a paper towel to hold it.Jada loves them too.

The Ramp and other things

Jim received his scooter. To help him get around easier.So the boys build him a ramp .We have to keep it in the house when it is below 40 decrees.So here are some pictures of them building the ramp.

This is my boys acting crazy.Maybe not acting!!!LOL
I think the ramp has help the looks of our porch.I am going to miss some of my flowers .That can't be helped.
I will post a picture of the ramp done, when I can take a picture of it.It has been to cold & I have not felt like getting out side.

I know ,why haven't I posted? Well to tell you the truth.Not a lot going on or maybe to much going on.Usually one or the other.
I have been under the weather but, feeling better now.
I have to write up about 30 Items for E-Bay. I know that don't sound like much. But you see I am a SLLLLLLLLLLow typist.Really Jim writes them up,I take the pictures and type it up and upload them.
We sell mechanic tools and such.

I crab my coat,Now ,Jim thought, I had gone NUTS ( not that far to go) He just shakes his head.

Day Late

I am a day late on my Memory Monday. So it will be Memory Tuesday.
I have ask my hubby for help on this.I was going to use our memory verse from our Sunday Morning Bible Study but sometimes those are real longggggggggg.And I also wanted something to help me live a better life in the Lord.Don't get me wrong all bible verse are good.But you know what I mean.I am still trying to do both.

I love the book of James.
Thing are going pretty good here in Indiana.We have a little snow on the ground and it as been colddd.
We had a couple new visitors at church on Sunday.that are not brothern.And we also had some brothern come that had not been in a while.So thank God it is picking up.

Birthday Boys

Yesterday was Bro. Stubby 61st Birthday.And Saturday was our Grandson Hayden's Birthday
So we had Cake & Ice-cream for Hayden .He turned 8.His candles was the sparkler type.He was taken by them.They were a little hard to blow out.Hayden is the busy one of our Grandchildren.So this was perfect for him.He chose the menu for the day ,Chili.

On to other things.

I have been changing my blog around some

LOL So I was reading on other blogs how to do different things on here .So I thought I would set up a test blog.So that away I can make changes and if they don't look good I can keep changing it till I like the way it looks,before I put it on this blog.Now you won't be seeing all the miss-hap's I have.

Changing my blog is not as hard physical as changing my furniture around.

I like to do that to.

I love getting e-mails form my sisters .I was surprised to get two to day.That was such an uplift for me.So thank you my sisters.

Sis Julie I found, just today ,that list.When I down loaded it ,it came back with a bunch of extra things in it .So as soon as I can clean it up I will e-mail you.

It as been a good year in the Lord.I am thankful for Sis.B I know your illness was bad ,but thur it, I came to know alot of sisters.I am so happy to see your smiling face in those pictures of you & Rain.Now we need one of you in the snow.(Out Side)
The Lord has been so good to me & my family this year. We have a roof over our heads,a bed to sleep in & food on the table.
I know he will help me with any thing that comes my way if I will let him.That is such a peace.

I have really enjoyed this blogging world.I have came to meet several sister other wise I would not have meet.Maybe one day I can see you face to face.I know I can count on you to say a prayer when me are my family needs God's mercies.And for that I want to say thank you.

Now this is my pride and joy.My brother & sister-in-law bought this for me 4 or 5 years ago.It is on top of our entertainment center.

Loseing Weight????

You know, I know I am fat.(FAT)That did not bother me.I figure if I eat that much that is what will happen.So if I don't want to be FAT I have to do something about it.Now I don't actual think being fat is bad. BUTTTTTTT it is now affecting me.It is hard to breath,do my house work,play with my grand kids.
So I am going to try and change my eating life style.I know there are alot of diets out their.I feel that the best way for me to stick to it and keep it off is to change the way I eat.
So I am going to start cutting my meals in half.Then start counting calories.I also will need to start exercising .I want to lose about 100 pounds.I figure it will take about a year.
I was reading on this and it says to figure your calorie intake for your body to maintain the weight you need is Body weigh X 11 for Females and Body Weight X 12 for Males.
Now exercise,is hard to find the right ones I can do.I need to do this also.

Well now I can do this.I put the weight on now I need to take it off.

Now after I had my kids I was skinny.I put all this on after my children became teenagers.So I can't blame this on baby fat.
So please pray for me on this matter. I feel like it is interfering with some of my service to God.If I can't clean my house like I should,so then I can't help the other sisters either.So that is how it is interfering.

Three Dinners

What a wonderful Thanksgiving we had. We went to three dinners. You heard right 3.
The first one was with our church family.There was a lot of great food.I think I ate to much.LOL A lot of wonderful visiting .Of course I forgot to take picture.I had the camera in my purse tho,I no that don't count Ha,Ha

The second one was with our children and a few other family members.When the kids started their own family's I did not want to put pressure on them. So I have our the Saturday after Thanksgiving ,But this year it was the Sunday before, The oldest son had to work the weekend after.Now some may think I am being selfish so I can have all my kids for dinner. No not me!We don't have the traditional Thanksgiving dinner.We are usually tired of turkey by this time.So we just have finger foods.We had a wonderful time. Here are some pictures

Now the third dinner was with my Grandmother(94),my Dad, Sister & Brother and their family's.Now this is on Thanksgiving day.My sister & I used to do all the cooking now the younger do most of it.But I still like to help out.

Yes, Sis. Kim I am finally out of the cabinet.LOL
I have not had a lot to blog about,or it seems rather boring .
Just day to day stuff.I did get a new refrigerator.One day the old on gave up the ghost.I like my new one.It has an ice maker and filtered water in it.

How do you all like my new blog?
I have been playing around on it all day.I could not get it right.So to night I came in here for one last try and fixed it in about 15 min.
I know maybe a little early for Christmas, but I like it.

My Kitchen Cabinet

My Mom use to have one cabinet in her kitchen that the grand babies could play in.My kids just loved it. So I carried over this. I do not put any thing in one cabinet. That away the children could play. Let there imagination take over.A car or a rocket what ever the heart contends. Unexpected Company

A sister and I were talking the other day about if any one invited a couple of visiting brethren home for dinner after church.How we both felt guilty on this.Now this is where hospitality comes in.I use to do this but have become lazy in this area of my life.

Now if we knew they were coming that is different. We would have already made plans.
But we love any time some brethren visit unexpectedly at church or home.So we were trying to come up with fast meals .We understand how allot of people are really hungry after church.So here is a list of what we come up with.

New Toilet YEA!

We have been in this Church building now for about 14 years.The womens toilet has been the same.Now about the last year we have had trouble with it.Hold down the handle a little longer just so it would flush.Now the little kids would use this bathroom and they didn't understand the concept of holding the handle down. So the next one in sometimes had a mess in there.
Then 3 weeks ago after it did flush the water would keep on running.Some even thought it was possess LOL
Well Sunday night they put a nice New one in for us women.YEA!!!!!
It is a tall one so you don't feel like your falling down when you sit.
I am really thankful to God for our new toilet

I am sitting here and thinking what a day to praise God. This and every day.
Summer is coming to a close.So we all will not be as busy.I have missed hearing from everyone as much.I know,I know.I haven't posted as much either.
I am thankful for the blogging world.I have meet so many sisters. Just to be able to here from you all.You have lifted me up when I have been down,made me look at me to see where I am at in this life.You have made me laugh.I love to here about your children.

I must be turning to a softy?

Last week our A/C went out.We called the Heating & Air guy. Well the compressor was froze up. He said to fix it was allot more money than a new one.So O.K. me wanting not to spend the money .You know it will be fall soon.What maybe a month till cooler weather. I told Bro.Stubby we can wait this out till next spring.
As a kid we didn't have A/C. We lived in this big house and with a fan it stayed cool.We didn't always have A/C when our kids were home either.And we managed just fine. So I thought we can do this.
Well in Indiana we have high humidity.And August is the hottest month of the year and the first of September can be hot also.I don't know what I was thinking!
The first day & night was not so bad.The second night the humidity went up.
So need less to say. We now have a new A/C unit.
So that is why I must be an old softy now.

I need to edit this: We are Thankful to GOD for A/C
When the guy was setting up the new unit it was 97 in the house.

Looking In The Mirror

I have been praying for others to be able to see what they need to change.You know ,I seen there faults.But I thought I could not tell them .So I thought the Lord could help them to see. For them to clean them self's up. I really did not want them to miss our reward.
And guess what ? The lord spoke to me,no not out loud but in my heart. He told me I need to look and see.I thought I had ,but I guess not.So I have been praying for my self.So that I may see my self like he sees me.I wanted to be able to see clearly.I wanted to be able to clean me up.And guess what? I had not been able to see before.

This time I was looking and I did not like what I saw.At first I thought well people make me fell this way, it is not my fault.Others push me do do this or that.Oh that is not so bad.So & so does that.Well the Lord brought scripture to my mind of what I was doing wrong.I am so thankful he did.I do not want to miss heaven and my God.

Some of things I saw I had no idea I had trouble with.I used to be afraid of storms.I had thought I had put that away when my children were little.I had ask God to help me.But the other day I was out shopping and a big black cloud came up. And low and behold I became afraid.I prayed that I could over come.I know that God can take care of it. But that is just one thing he showed me.
I really don't know why I wrinting about this? Maybe so I can remember.

We have a wonderful, amazing, & awesome Father. His fever broke around 3:00 A.M and he as a little more energy.I thank you my most precious brethren for your love and for asking our Father on his behalf.
Bro stubby is the love of my life,the best husband a women could have and the best father of our children.He has been my strength and I wish to be his.I thank my God every day for sending him to me.
So please still talk to the Father about him.

I had ask Sister Krissy to make me a thingy like she had in her tree. And so she did, it is a Bird Feeder. Boy does that girl have talent.I love wind chimes .I have some on my porch. So that is what I thought it was at first.Yesterday I was out running errands .While I was out Bro Barry(See I fixed the name) & Sis.Krissy brought this over. We started playing Corn Hole in Kentucky with the brothern there. Bro Darin made ours.I found our corn bags on E-Bay.As you can see from the pictures what they look like. It is like horse shoes but only different.Alot of the brothern really like it. At our annualy Christmas in July in Kentucky we have tournments.Bro. Johnny didn't think he would like it . But he won every game he played.

As I told you about my home.I didn't tell you how I always wanted a kitchen window over my sink. Well the Lord did give me that.I love my Kitchen window. I have watch the children get on & off the school bus ,the birds eating worms, the squirrels playing chase ( they are so cute) they remind me of my kids.The squirrels not the birds.LOL
Well last night I was fixing Brother Stubby a drink for supper.And as always I was looking out my window. I could not believe my eyes.Now we live in the city no lake or pond around for miles that I know of anyway.There they where a momma Duck and 7 ducklings.I called for Aunt Sissy & Bro. I thought I would tell you how we came to live in our home.We had rented when we first married and every time the land lord would tell us he had rented the house to his kids.So we would rent another place. The same think would happen again & again
The last house we rented I fell in love with. It had a big front room to entertain the brothern in.But low & be hold he sold it to his daughter.
We received a prophecy that the Lord would provide us a home.So I thought great no more worries. So we started looking for us a home.The time was getting close to us having to get out.We found this house. I did not like it as well as the last house. But we needed a house. So Jim took it.I thought now Lord I know this is not the home you are giving us.Then I really started doubting the prophecy after a few years of us still in this house.
You see I didn't think it was big enough to entertain the brothern as the last house was.And finally I thought O.K. Lord I'll be satisfied with it till you give us our home.I didn't want to seem ungrateful.Because I know the Lord will take care of us.
Well Sondra meet Jackie & her brother. Now I tell you I fell in love with these two kids. I took them as my own.Well Jackie was around for a couple years before she came to church with us.
Now after she came in the church I still did not see.Till one time she was testifying how the Lord put us in her life. And I just started crying .Now I felt like the man with the boat. Saying the Lord will help me.
So I know now the Lord gave us our home.

Thank you dear brothern for your prayers.Our Heavenly Father heard them. Bro. Stubby is doing some better.He is still weak.And is still sick.But the pain is not as severe as it was yesterday. God has blessed us much.And we will make it with God.

I would ask that you all remember my hubby in your prayers.Some of you don't know but he was paralyzed at one time. God has had much mercy on us.He can walk now and has feeling now. But because of this he still has some trouble.He is always in pain ,but God has helped him .He doesn't want people to feel sorry for him.So he doesn't talk about his problems much.He is having some problems with kidney infection now, we think anyway.

Women's Meeting

We had our monthly Women's meeting last night. We all gave some house hold hints.
1.Baking Soda is good for cleaning
A.) Food spills
B.) Bath Tub
C.) Many others
For those that can't use those cleaners that have a strong sent

2. Diaper Wipes are good for cleaning behind toilet seat
A.) Clean Kool-aid spills on carpet
B.) Cleaning the car

3. Make a to do list for the day.

4. As you leave a room take something with you that needs put back.

There where more hints I can't remember them now. My list is in the car.

We discussed how fast to take children out of the meeting if they are distrubing the meeting. How the word is more important then the children.And should we need the fathers help & how much with the children in the meeting .We know it is up to each family.But if we all could be in one accord that would be good.

Change of subject.
As you know we have had flooding here. In Indianapolis it was not that bad. Some of our brothern in Morgantown has some damage.I heard one brother lost his house and other's will have to rebuild.They could use our prayers.They say this is the worst flood here in over 100 years.We still have forcast for more storms.

I think I have finally made all the adjustments I am going to do for awhile.
It really feels like moving around your house.Only no physical work just time consuming.

I was reading on the E-Bay discussions boards about those with blogs and this site came up .*Matti Kay* Creations I have her blog site on the right side . She explains it all. The only problem I had was it only keeps you post. So you have to redo every thing else.Now if I had of realized it first I would have saved it else where.She has some other free ones also.When it come to computer I know enough to be dangerous.LOL

Thank God it is Friday. It has been special busy week. I have loved doing what I have been doing.We are having a Open House for our Bishop & His Wife Fifty Years of Marriage & Fifty years in the Faith.

Pasta Salad ready.Have all the paper goods ,Center pieces ,Decorations are ready.Wedding Cake just about done.I still need to make the Cheese Balls

Many Of you don't know .So I will tell you a little about her
She was number 8 of 10 children,she was the youngest girl.
She was 16 when she came in the faith, Now in Ky they didn't have a church there then.They only had Church when one of the minister from Indianapolis came.But now she keep the faith.
Now she taught us kids to pray for every thing. And this faith was the only way.
Once when I was in the 4th grade I talked my dad into letting me go to church with my teacher,Mom didn't know this. When she found out where I was she called the police to come and bring me home.And I was in trouble.
Once one of her grandchildren had blood in there diaper .Her and Another sister began to pray. God heard her prayers. And she was O.K.
Mom love to sing .Boy could she harmonize .
She taught us kids you fed the brothern the best you had.You do all you could do for them.
I am thankful to God for her.

These are my week-end warriors.Br. Stubby and I are not able to mow grasss. We don't have a very big front yard ,now the back yard is a little bigger.

With all this rain the grass was getting tall.So here come the girls to our rescue. They bring out the big guns. Two mowers going at the same time.

We are very thankfull for all the hard work they do for us.

Was really busy the week of meetings.

The singing was great.it was an uplift to all.
The Sunday after we had a 50th birthday cook out for a sister.
That is when I came down sick. But praise God I am doing better.

Earth Quake

I was up about 5:30 this morning sitting at the computer .I thought I heard Bro. Stubby or Aunt Sissy getting up and one of them fell. But the pictures were moving on the wall the desk shook . I jumped up ran in the kitchen to see . Nothing O.K. maybe something hit the house. I look out the window Still did not see anything . Well if the Lord had come back I would not be here.I calmed down and thought Hey, that was an earth quake. Lol
It didn't take that long really, but at the time a-lot can go thur your mind in a short amount of time.
O.K. girls I did not run but for me it was a run.Ha,Ha

A Week of Church Meetings

This has been a very busy week for me.
We have had meeting every night.I love it.
Some wonderful teaching on the faith and our hope.
I know I can not do it justice to try and re-tell it all.
Wonderful testimonies and beautiful prayers.
It was brought to our attention we don't talk of our hope like we
once did.
How we need to tell our neighbors of the love of God and the hope we have within us.
Saturday we are having a singing.I will let you all know how that goes.

I have tried to think(Now that is a frightful thing!) what to write about.
So I decided to write about nothing!!!
Some facts:
1. Did you know that the word Gossip is not in the Bible.
2. Spare the rod and spoil the child is not in the Bible. Close but not in that wording.
3. The angle of death did not go over Egypt when all the first born were killed.

Those are a few things I tried to look up and they are not in there.
A lot of times we hear things all our life and we think that is in the bible and it isn't there.
It has taught me to look it up for myself.
So this may be a lot of nothing but maybe things you didn't know.

A little about my self.

I am married to the most amazing man in the world . We have four children 2 Boys & 2 Girls.

We have been blessed with 7 Grand Children. Bro. Stubby said if he knew how much fun the grandbabys were, we would have had them first.Ha,Ha

I have been around the Faith all my life. My grandmother was the first one in KY to be baptized. So the story's of the faith have been in my life a long time. It is the most precious of all I have.

I am not sure how all of this works.So please bear with me in this new endeavor.
